Ethical and Environmental Group Policy

The Ethical Guidelines and Environmental Policy were adopted in December 2005 to guide the implementation of Eniro’s ethical and environmental vision throughout the Group.

The Ethical and Environment policies are summarised below. The Ethical Guidelines are divided into General Principles relating to business operations and Personnel Specific guidelines relating to the ethical conduct of staff.

Ethical Guidelines: General Principles

Laws, regulations and guiding principles

Eniro and its employees shall comply with all laws and regulations that govern its operations.

Human Rights

Eniro endorses the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and does not discriminate on the grounds of gender, age, ethnic background or sexual orientation.

Business ethics

Eniro shall be characterised by a high degree of integrity, professionalism and ethics in terms of its personnel and the businesses that the company is involved with.

Customer service

Eniro shall strive for long-term customer relations by respecting customers, providing clear, factual information and managing complaints.

Product content

Eniro shall only allow product content that is in accordance with legislation, regulations, signed commitments and the Group’s ethical standards.

Environmental issues

Eniro shall strive to reduce the negative environmental impact of its operations.

Ethical Guidelines: Personnel Specific Principles

General behavior

Personnel must carry out their responsibilities toward Eniro in a manner that upholds confidence in the company.

Insider information

Personnel must not take improper advantage of knowledge stemming from their position or relation with Eniro.

Impartiality

Personnel must not handle matters in which they or a relative have a personal interest, or act on behalf of a company other than Eniro in which they or a relative has a material interest.

Gifts from customers

Personnel shall not, in relation to their work at Eniro, offer, request or accept inappropriate gifts, payments or travel and neither shall persons closely related to them.

External engagements

Employees’ external engagements must not interfere with their ability to perform the duties and functions as an employee or undermine trust and confidence in Eniro.

Fair competition

Personnel should in no way participate in collaborations or act in a way that illegally reduces competition.

Note: Employees who are in doubt when applying Eniro’s Ethical Guidelines must contact their immediate superior with regard to what is ethically acceptable.

A long-term sustainable plan

In 2009, Eniro established long-term environmental goals which run until 2018. The overall objectives are:

To reduce Eniro’s emissions of greenhouse gases by 70 percent

That 100 percent of the energy Eniro buys will come from renewable sources

That 100 percent of Eniro’s shipments will be made using bio fuel/electricity



Based on these overall goals each department has a plan broken down by year to ensure that the overall goals are achieved.
